As some of you, the Twin Cites and most of the upper Midwest were hit with a pretty bad snowstorm. We ended up with between 17″ and 20″ depending on location as well as an average of 35 mph winds. Normally this would not be something that would be much of a hurdle to anyone writing and drawing a comic, stay inside, make coffee/hot chocolate, warm soup, and get a ton of writing and drawing done. However, that’s not quite the situation. I spent most of the weekend shoveling our house, garage, sidewalks and driveway so that we can stay part of the rest of the world. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that I didn’t have any solid time to get any comic work done this weekend and I won’t have my usual 5 comics this week. I’ll do my best to have a few up later in the week. Also, next week, 12/20/10 – 12/24/10 I will be running guest comics from very talented folks and I hope that you’ll enjoy them! Again, I’m sorry i don’t have my usual work done for you. Until my son is in school during the week, the weekends are pretty much my time to get serious amounts of comic work done, and this weekend was filled with snow. Please click on the image below to take a look at the snow we got around our house. If you got buried with snow too, stay safe and warm! ^_^
EDIT: Just to clarify, I did use a snowblower as well (although not a very big one), not just a shovel. I used the term “shoveling” to refer to the act of getting this junk off of our sidewalks and driveway.
