I now have enough gray hair that I don’t get carded anymore when buying booze. I know I’m not old by any stretch of the imagination, but that’s hard to think about when you creak and pop when getting up in the morning or going down a flight of stairs. o_O I know everyone has stories about getting older, I just do my best not to think about the number of times that I’ve been around the sun, to the point that I normally have to think about it for a moment when asked my age.
However, it’s hard not to think about it when my birthday rolls around. Cards start coming in and family and friends do everything in their power to remind you that it’s your birthday. so on that note, I’m ready to face the last year of my thirties head on. That’s right, I’ll be 39 this April 11th. And if anyone would like to send anything from my wish list, I’ll be sure to send you a hand-drawn thank you card if your address is included! ^_^
Next year, I’ll tackle 40! ^_^
I’ve had to pinch myself since seeing the first images of the Monica sculpture, now I happened upon this at a nerd-core toy site.
*feels nerdy-silly*
I’m such a dork.
Hey all. I try to remind myself that the Winter months are almost over. I almost always start to get a little blah this time of year, as well as cabin fever. i try to remind myself that things do get better even if the economy as of now would make most think otherwise. I’m also at the point of wondering if I should try pitching Wapsi to any publishers to get a wider distribution of my books. I’ve got a few ideas, I’ll have to do some investigating.
In other news, I am very excited about finally getting the guest comic for Bob Lipski’s Uptown Girl completed. It’ll be included in his upcoming book so you’ll have to check it out! ^_^ Bob’s a great guy and fellow Twin Cities comic artist, please check out his site and work. Fun stuff!
I better get back to work. Stop in to Twitter and see what I’m up to through the day! ^_^
Hey everyone! ^_^ I’ve actually been neglecting my LJ account and only posting info stuff and not as many personal posts over here. It’s been a combination of being busy and playing more on Facebook and Twitter. So, what has everyone here been up to? I’ll have to dig through old posts but feel free to check in here if you like too.
I recently realized that, like Monica, I really don’t have any hobbies anymore. Mostly the stuff that I used to do as a hobby (drawing, art) has become my fulltime job now and I don’t have much time for anything else. I’m greatly looking forward to it warming up so I can get Eddie outside and we can go play by the lakes. I wonder if he’ll be able to eat any of the cinnomon rolls or puppy-dog-tails that they have at Isles Bun and Coffee by summer. I’ll have to get him up around Uptown and see his reaction to the hustle bustle up there and the outside cafes.
Yes I’m looking forward to warm weather for a multitude of reasons but finding down-time with my son has got to be the biggest! ^_^
Hey all! Remember your days in college? Have trouble remembering your days in college? Either way, if you never had the time to check out the awesome comic by David Willis, "Roomies", now’s your chance to own it! Check here!
