Today we have a beautiful illustration of Phix in her human form by the wonderful Lyndsey Raney. Check out her page, introduce yourself and thank her much for her Wapsi guest art!

I approve . Very nice .
Yes–she’s a great librarian, looking like this.
Classy!
shoot she’s got an astronomical halo… astrnomical signs making up a sun disk… nice
So, does Sphinx Ubris mean Urban Sphinx in this context?
Oh wait. That’s Libris. Nevermind.
I like the idea of an Urban Sphinx.
Isn’t that what Phix is now?
Well, most libraries are urban–just as universities are, and for much the same reason.
Careful what you wish for…
Way to GD funny! Thanks for the link…
Nice…. little bit Orient, little bit Egyptian, little bit Just-Plain-Awesome.
WOW! who would have thought I would see an homage to Alfons Mucha in Wapsi Square!
I’ll second that! This makes me want to see Phix done in FULL out Mucha-mode! Like his Sarah Bernhardt posters!! Lovely, lush, luxurious and chockful of feline grace and sensuality. (whew – steamy!)
Wow, nice Mucha-like work, and many thanks for contributing to my Phixaphilia!
This is lovely!
I really dig the kimono robe.
Phix definitely rocks the kimono.
I think this must be the proof of Phix’s personal bookplate—”Sphinx Libris,” indeed!
(And why shouldn’t she get Mucha to do her bookplate design? It’s not like the space-time continuum is likely to stop her getting whoever she wants, and artists gotta eat too.)
…and/or not be eaten.
Beautiful. Nicely done.
Phix in a kimono FTW!
My own favourite Mucha tribute was Reed Waller’s Omaha version…
This definitely urges me to check her ou–….., I mean check out a book from her library. When’s Tea and Cookie hour?
Now THAT is a librarian! Well done.
Very nice!

She Looks pregers and pissed
I believe that is her hip. Oh the problems with rendering 3 dimensions on 2 dimensional media.
I loved this first time through and still love it on re-reading
