I was visiting my dad for Xmas last year with my sis and my 3 yr old niece. She (niece) wanted to see the lake in the back from the porch. I took her out and put her on the chair, not knowing that a nest was freshly made overnight and 30+ Yellow-jackets swarmed her head and legs. I almost threw my niece in the house as I was swatting them off her. She got stung 3 times out of all the ones on her, two to the leg and one on her hand. I got 17 stings to the hand. I’m allergic to wasps and my hand felt like it was dead for over 3 weeks. She slept her stings off in 3 hours. I still hate wasps with a passion that knows no bounds.

At least Monica was able to avoid that unfortunate situation. For while a sting is painful having been stung and then having an allergic reaction to it is far worse.
