And then this big black panther comes out of nowhere and scares the bejeebus out of you – and your demons all merge into a form that looks like you as a little girl.

And the panther slinks off into the forest, watches Jin give her the “poor little girl, you lost?” routine, and snickers to herself. “Excellent, everything’s going according to plan.”

Actually, given Sarcasm Girl’s apparent age, i’d guess her reactionwhen her mother died – when she was ten had something to do with it.

Shelly had an argument with her mother, yelled “I hate you!” and stormed out of the room

It was the last thing she said to her mother.

And she also feels as if it’s her fault her mother died (as i recall) because she couldn’t get help for her.

So combine a healthy dose of guilt with some self-doubt and then send the resultant mess out on a vision quest three years later when the spirit guide doesn’t show up in time and you spend *way* too much time open to anything that comes along…
