I am a Wapsi Girl because I am just that, a girl. I believe strongly in what I do and am very passionate about
my hobby and my industry, and while I am the only young, female published gun writer that I have heard of, and likely the only 23 year old girl in the country that runs a 5-star-rated gun range, but there’s more to my story.
Not 5 years ago I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and found myself sick in bed for almost 2 years. Shortly after that, still on 24 pills a day, I ended up in a series of destructive relationships that terminated in a job at a gun range and a bunch of big, tough men around me teaching me self defense and warrior mindset.
Now I’ve been off my pills for almost a year and a half and have found a niche in the most unlikely of places. My friends and colleagues are SWAT and Special Forces veterans, professional gunslingers and world-class shooters. Every day these are the people who treat me with respect, who ask me for my opinion.
The career and support network I have built out of less than nothing has supplied me with a passion and a group of friends and colleagues I wouldn’t trade for anything.
