All you ever see on the news is the worst kind of things. <: ( You grow to think this kind of stuff happens every day, in your own neighborhood. But nobody will ever know the kind of GOOD things that happen every single day, even in your own neighborhood.
I’ve been really depressed about the news lately… it makes me think the whole world is bad. Every stranger on the street. Every person I think I know. Just wishing someone can prove me wrong.
Our local news likes to have little stories about positive things going on around the Twin Cities. They just don’t do it often enough!
The world is a good place but the “media” knows they can get faster results with “train wrecks” then with good news. I’ll do my part to try and find fun news items more than the stuff that makes me angry.
that is why people watch the daily show. it’s a lighter, smart-ass way to give the facts/opinions. the same reason I prefer the onion to real newspapers.
When an adult male sexually assaults a minor female, condemnation is quick to pour upon the male with many cries of horror and dismay and concern for the girl.
When an adult female sexually assaults a minor male, people make jokes about it (not that that’s happening here, but I’ve seen it) and talk about how “lucky” the kid is and how they wish they’d had teachers like that.
I don’t think I’ll ever understand how an adult can find a child… a CHILD… sexually attractive, other than in a predatory way.

That’s why is on my list. It’s not always positive, but it’s almost always lighthearted or just so weird you gotta laugh.
I think we should pool our resources and encourage good news to be shared.
