Damn! If I was to just guess my age, 28 has always popped to my mind. Not how I look but how I feel. Granted there are days that I feel 70, but that’s besides the point. I’m going to be turning 40 this April weather I like it or not, and honestly, that’s not that bad. I’m very happy with my life and I have the best job in the world! Also on a side note, the Television Fundraiser that I was doing as a “thank you” for my wife has been a huge success! Out of the $1000 goal, we were able to raise $920 so far. Close enough that I went out a got her the television! The surprise made her cry and she really wants you all to know that she thinks that you’re all the best! That goes for me too, You guys are the BEST! You let me continue to do the best job in the world and have an outlet for my odd imagination. =)
Anyway, I better get back to my job so you all have more Wapsi this coming week. And should anyone want to send a birthday gift from my wish list, click on the button below, I’ll be sure to get a thank you card (hand drawn pic on it off course) shipped off to you asap! Take care and have a great day! ^_^

I’m fifty-nine in July. you’ve a long way to go yet. Enjoy the journey, because the destination is the pits!
Happy impending birthday, mate. Long way from the Bellefree days, eh?
Oh, man! It’s been almost 10 years since I’ve been there. o_O
Many Happy Returns of the Day, when it arrives, Pablo Wapsi. Be thankful your life is in such a happy place. Can’t many of us say we have a job we love. I can’t, for one. (At least I have a job!) But I have a roof over my head and loved ones who share it with me, and that counts for much these days.
I turned 40 last July. I was going to make it a big event, as I made a journey to New Zealand for my 30th. instead, it passed quietly while I was unemployed and trying to survive. Quite anticlimactic, but at least it wasn;t the *biggest* problem i had…
…come on in! The water’s fine! It’s just that from now on your joints will ache a lot more and alot longer after you get out…
Hey Paul…I’m hitting the 40 this June. So, I have an idea about how you are feeling bout it.
It’s wonderful that you are still doing what you love.
Wait, you mean I’m older than you? Well, okay, not by much, but…
%$#@
Pablo, I hit 59 in June, and I’m convinced life starts at 65. I can’t wait to grow up and see how awesome it’s going to be. You’re only as old as you feel – just remember, aging is mandatory, but growing up is optional. Happy Early Birthday!
On that note: From George Carllin, a genius of humor:
Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we’re kids? If you’re less than 10 years old, you’re so excited about aging that you think in fractions.
‘How old are you?’ ‘I’m four and a half!’ You’re never thirty-six and a half. You’re four and a half, going on five! That’s the key
You get into your teens, now they can’t hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.
‘How old are you?’ ‘I’m gonna be 16!’ You could be 13, but hey, you’re gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life .. You become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony . YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!
But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There’s no fun now, you’re Just a sour-dumpling. What’s wrong? What’s changed?
You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you’re PUSHING 40. Whoa! Put on the brakes, it’s all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone.
But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn’t think you would!
So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.
You’ve built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it’s a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!
You get into your 80’s and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30 ; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn’t end there. Into the 90s, you start going backwards; ‘I Was JUST 92.’
Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. ‘I’m 100 and a half!’
May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!
Someone once told me that when they reached 40 they decided that was as old as they would ever be. So on their 41st birthday they became 39 then 38 etc. Any years after 80 are a bonus.
I thought that was funny till I got to nearly 41. Then it dawned on me I could be 39 if I wanted and a weight lifted off me that I didn’t even know I had. I thought ‘that’s ridiculous’ but it really worked. So what the hell I am 25 in two days time though my daughter tells everyone I am 12.
Happy Birthday! And I agree with others. 40 is young yet! (In the great cosmic scheme of things, yer still just a pup!) I’m 51 and still kicking, and I feel more alive than I have in years. Go figure. Maybe it’s kinda like Steve says and the clock’s going backwards (a sort of Benjamin Button effect).
Enjoy the big 4-0. I’m convinced now that it just keeps getting better.
Well congrats on another year! Thank you for taking the time to entertain us and making us a part of your life through your work.
Happy belated birthday! I wandered over here from Suze Underground. Your work is phenominal!!! I’m pushing forty so I know how you feel. I always thought 30 was old, well, until I turned 38…ah to be 30 again! I’ll be checking out your blog often. Appreciate what you do here!
