What is a Wapsi girl?

For this question, I’d like to refer to the comic Wapsi Square itself. I’ve been reading WS for awhile now, and I like the way women are portrayed. Strong, independent, intelligent, charismatic, the list goes on. They don’t seem insecure to me. They don’t seem constantly worried about what other people think. They don’t seem self absorbed. I admit, I have my days where I suffer from these traits, but that’s why it’s so comforting to read WS. You won’t find those flaws there. You care about these gals because they’re genuine. The author isn’t trying to create women based on how he ‘thinks’ women are. They just are. And that’s what makes them such strong characters. That’s what makes them inspiring. I’d like to be all those things, and at times I think I succeed. I’m learning as life goes on. I’m takin’ it one day at a time, and maybe someday, I’ll be as inspiring to someone as these characters are to me.
