Due to the presumptions of our society everyone who sees them together will jump to the conclusion that he is sexually proficient and/or anatomically gifted.
(Not that they would be in error.)
She needs an invite to the Norwegian flight zone where she can get her wings out and really exercise.
Is it just me, though, or does Shelly, (and to a lesser degree, Monica) seem disconnected from the rest of Para society? (E.g. Shelly not knowing about the Flight zone, which led to the chase through the city) Shelly’s only real contact point seems to be Grandma Phix.
I thnk Shelly and Monica are, in a way, outside para society. Both of them are effectively sui generis; Monica isn’t even, technically, really originally para, having been created the Jaguar Girl and a phoenix by the actions of exterior forces, and Shelly’s sphinxness is, likewise, a result of manipulation by Bia (and Nudge, in creating Connie, so that Shelly survived her time in the Time Forest).
I would imagine it’s hard to play guitar, when your fingernails can cut steel. Something she hadn’t quite “grown into” yet, when she was with the band.
As much as I love all of Paul’s female characters, it’s great to see a guy back in the frame (that is, a guy without a mask and a gun). It’s been a long time!
She’s not getting minimum requirments of girlie-girl time since Monica was promoted to Jaguar Girl…
That is a very, very lucky boy.
I KNOW! He got a fairly clearly worded warning!
Most women are not nearly so helpful!

If Nudge is to be believed, he is, in fact, ‘anatomically gifted’.
I believe the words used were “hung like a centaur”.

Or is it an ‘aloof Sphinx’ thing?

Monica, at least, has some contact via the Gilchrist girls, and the mentoring Phix pushed on her.
Given some of the history we’ve had with Sphinxes as guardians/enforcers, I wonder if they hold themselves aloof from the rest of Para society.
(Do I remember correctly the Library Duty was actually a punishment for Phix?)
the chase through the city was for girl scout cookies if i remember correctly. they were just going about it the wrong way.
The one that got them reamed by Phix was “Last one there buys the first round.”
She needs to go hunting, staying human all the time is clearly messing with her instincts.
And boys, this is why you take your significant others for walks.
I could make a pet analogy, but I won’t.
She needs to be practicing music about the same time she puts into working the bag.

Wait, she’s still with that dweeb? o_O
He is, after all, a Titan
Doesn’t stop him from being a dweeb!

Who we kidding? given the nature of some of the female paras in this comic; ANYONE could kill ANYTHING at ANYTIME!
It’s not even really about Monica any more, and as much as I like Atsali and Nadette and their crowd, that saddens me more than a little.
