        Tu fui, ego eris. The Latin phrase that she was repeating to herself earlier. There’s a few translations, but one is “I was you, you will be me”, or less literal but more accurate, “what you are, I was; what I am, you will be.”

        There’s also a few versions, among them:
        “Quod tu es, ego fui. Quod ego sum, tu eris” = What you are, I was. What I am, you will be; or
        “Eram quod es; eris quod sum” = I was what you are, you will be what I am (this version is sometimes attributed to Horace)
        Generally, it was an often used toombstone inscription, meant to remind the reader of the brevity of life (funny that an immortal being like Doubt should use it).
