As Mass Effect 2 points out, Isaac Newton is the deadliest son of a bitch in space, assuming the machine weighed at least a few tons and Bud crushed the whole thing, it would still have the same mass. At .33 c the “equal and opposite reaction” part of that equation would have Bud embedded at the bottom of a VERY deep and wide crater while the planet suffered long term Nuclear Winter.
If the golems can manipulate plasma they could theoretically contain any harmful collateral energy from launching a mini planet killer from Earth using MHD principles. It’d take significantly more energy than launching the object but it seems like they’ve got that and to spare. Glassing an entire continent with fire (I’m assuming plasma was what they really used) obeys the inverse square rule in terms of energy per unit radius and the energy necessary to do that would make a nuke seem tame by comparison. I’m sure someone could math this out but I can’t be arsed at the moment.
Ultimately though it’s the Rule of Cool and the golem girls are essentially able to accomplish any physical feat they which because they’re operating from arcane-yet-sciency rules established by an ancient civilization of advanced humans who have no native word for hubris.
Nah, the thing’s the size of a bullet. Doesn’t matter how much it weighs, it’s not going to affect anything outside of a foot or two. The BOOM is probably from Bud’s hand hitting Mach 300.
Bud, you’re my favorite superhero.
wow holy crap! there is a comment limit before it goes to a new page? ~<3
I expect whipping that thing through the atmosphere at 1/3 c would level several square blocks and burn Minneapolis to the ground.
Very late reply BUT…

This is what happens when you show your golems movies.
When you care enough to SUN the very best…
Just have to say, I really enjoyed the look of incredulity on Brandi’s face. “You make machine go bye-bye?”
