Reminds me of the Disney live movie/tv version of the Prince and the Pauper, where the pauper, having been living as a prince for a bit, was the one who knew where the royal seal was (hidden in a suit of armor, I think) and stated that he had been using it to crack nuts…

According to Monica’s parents, her grandmother was dead at the time. Thus, whether or not the entity that taught her was really her grandmother in some form is impossible to tell.
