I thought so briefly, but no knockers. The characters all have things to make the identifiable. Monica has the huge boobs, Tina the choker, Shelly the muscles, Atsali the freckles, Katherine the eyes, and so on.
Castie, in a way, we’re ALL creepy looking. I simply depends on the level of how we’re perceived in regard to what’s different to each person assumptions. You would be STRIKINGLY exotic, while others would be glamourously disquieting. Others like me would be morosely interesting. Stop reading those trashy brain-washing glamour magazines! There’s NO true ‘beauty’ or ‘ugly’ in our world; para or no, we’re all simply a ‘mix’ of both referendum… You’re attractiveness is not by how you look, but typically judged by how you BEHAVE towards others! 😉
or, as my dad used to say “all women are beautiful. we just have to have the eyes to see it. pity the man who can’t…he is walking around blind in a world of rainbows and sunsets”
well Akamar, he had his moments. he was also the same guy that would elbow me in the mall at 10 years old and ask me what I thought of “the hooters on that one…ain’t she “healthy”?” (or alternately “rugged”)
Looking at the first two panels and a question about Castela’s hair came to mind… How does her hair change…? Does it go from straw colored to being literal straw or what?
In other news, Pickle, not particularly. The thing that would be a “creepy” thing to me if we met in real-life world would be your fangs.
I agree with idea that Castela shares DNA with Astali; however with that ability to adopt and hold a “human” form, her appearance maybe based more on conscious or sub-conscience preferences rather than DNA. I really think that her eyes have started looking more like Katherine’s as time goes by.
She definitely seems to be impressed by Aunties Monica and Jin. I’m just waiting for her to start sporting a more Asian look.
In the first panel, she was doing very good. How long can she hold the form?
With practice she should be able to hold the human form for as long it is needed.
Keep up the good work, Pickle … Um, Sorry … Castela. (She growing up)
Then I read through several pages, both ways, on the Related Comics links under the post. I needed a few bits of reminders of what she looked like while at other places other than home.
Seems like Castela does very well with the human form at school. Which last a good number of hours.
She hold the half human while at home, in Para Normal Safe Areas, at the Para Normal Beach, and Para Normal Events. So I guess she is doing better than good.
I can’t find the video of a dog balancing a smartphone on its nose with a video of its Masters eyes playing.
That’s what castella needs but a magical 3D version built-in to fashionable eyeglasses.
Castela, you’re making the mistake all women (and no men) make when they look in the mirror. You’re looking at the parts and not seeing the whole. Forget about the eyes, the cheeks, the teeth. Look at Castela. She’s adorable.
Was just thinking that, but ‘creepy’ is relative (and not just relatives who are a few evolutionary points behind), you can not help or stop others thinking you look ‘creepy’ (and ‘creepy’ does not have to mean anything negative, it’s mostly just a descriptor, it’s how one responds that matters)
I just remembered, (and was beat by Jay Russel by a few hours,) Katherine was labeled as being creepy by her coworkers. Monica had to threaten the janitor at one point.
If there’s anyone who can understand Castella’s concerns, it really is her mom.
Not to other para’s
hey, about 20 hours early, must be a record??? 😆
nah, I’ll let others lead… :p 😳
For a second there I thought that was Monica in the first panel.
I thought so briefly, but no knockers. The characters all have things to make the identifiable. Monica has the huge boobs, Tina the choker, Shelly the muscles, Atsali the freckles, Katherine the eyes, and so on.
Or Bud – looks like Castela is copying Bud’s haystack hair.
Yeah, more like Bud
Of course she would want to look like her auntie. Why didn’t I see it before?
I still think the DNA that was used was some of Atsali’s, since Castela resembles her.
And no, sweetie, you don’t look creepy to your friends and family.

Well said.

I think I like your dad.

I wonder if Castela would be reassured about herself if she saw some pics of early-Wapsi Katherine?

She’s getting the eyes down but maybe she should get a pair of magic glasses with 3D images of eyes in them.
Maybe human eyes don’t have the UV and field of view that she’s used to normally.
My cheap-ass dash cam screws up the colors of the trees.
I hear that.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a digital camera capture colors the way I see them.
Dude, that’d be a TERRIFIC one-time panel joke! Paul Taylor, I hope you get this! 😉
I can’t find the video of a dog balancing a smartphone on its nose with a video of its Masters eyes playing.

Dang!
Sorry….Just Image Google for ‘dog smartphone eyes’
There’s a video version also.
Paul?
Delete my useless post above.

Her mom would know everything about looking creepy with those eyes!

I think Katherine’s eyes are sexy. Deep, warm, and mysterious. She just needs to smile more.
Ya k ow – the expression in that last panel … Maybe she hopes the answer is “yes”?
Castela: Mama, am I creepy looking?
Katherine: … not necessarily…
>BLEEP<ing lack of edit “button”!!
Creepy cute
Yes, but then all pre-teen girls are pretty creepy at times. I raised a couple
I just remembered, (and was beat by Jay Russel by a few hours,) Katherine was labeled as being creepy by her coworkers. Monica had to threaten the janitor at one point.
If there’s anyone who can understand Castella’s concerns, it really is her mom.
Some tween boy is going to get his arms ripped off….
By Kath or Sali? o_O
That’s the great thing about standards. There’s so many to choose from.
“Am I creepy looking?”
She said to the woman with the spider eyes.
