Sorry to hear that you have the galloping awfuls, Paul. I’ve often found a long hot bath to be helpful… seems to help kick the immune system into a higher gear.
Stay warm, drink lots of fluids, and rest! As always, we’ll be here when you get back.
I have the same thing. It totally sucks. So much that I’m not even hitting refresh on this page every five minutes. I go 20, sometimes even 30 minutes at a time between checks.
wow!!!
I had something like that a couple weeks ago.
I had it for four days, but could barely move (other than to the nearest ‘ralph-phone’)
The MDs said to do exactly what the others are saying in this forum…
rest, stay warm (or even hot), drink lots of fluid, ect.
I’m sure you’ll come back from this as healthy as ever.
While things are kinda slow, I’d like to share with you, Paul. and the rest of Wapsi Nation how this comic has impacted my life. I have lurked for years, cherishing every panel. when “the interruption” happened I re-read the archives. Then I was introduced to Manga and Anime, an in a convoluted way, the Japanese music scene. I was gob-smacked!
Paul, thank you for the journey so far. You and your readers are clever, witty, intelligent, cosmopolitan and funny.
That being said, are there any Band Maid fans out there?
Never heard of Band Maids before, but because of this Wapsi-thing I was introduced to a ‘it’s been ten years on now…’ punk band made up of at least three teenage girls called Care Bears on Fire.
On tha face of it; not my scene. In actuality?, they burn-
and it tickles me to no end I find myself Googeling & Bing’ing & Duck-duck-go’ing at random moments to see why they haven’t done a rebellion (oops, spell-check chimes in) reunion tour….
Hmm. That sounds exactly like the side effects of the new antidepressant I have been put on, although the side effects are more beneficial than the intended effects… (I’m obese and reduced appetite and nausea are surprisingly useful tools for getting back on track to lose those last 100 lbs!)
Hope you get better soon, if not, we will be here when you do
Hmm sounds like you caught the flu, or hopefully a light version of the flu, I hope you get better as this month is just the worse to be sick in.
What That_person said. Keep an eye out for further symptoms; the flu can really bite hard.
As long as it’s not a plaice holder . . . though that would be finny.
/drops a herring in the pun jar/
I think we can wait it out, painful though that is. Get well.

Take your time, get better. We’ll be here when you get back.
Looks like you got plenty of advice, so, just treat yourself right.
Thanks for sharing.
Oh dear 🙁 Feel better soon – don’t push to do the thang – health more important! We’ll wait 😀
Paul, forget the comic timetable, the flu ain’t nothing to mess with! Take as much time as you need to get well; We’re all pulling for you!
As much as I like it, the comic isn’t worth your health. Do what you have to do to take care of yourself. We’ll keep the light on for you.
Drink that Tea!, Drink it!
(you know you want to…) That, and ‘what Dave said’
Get well.
Did you get a flu immunisation? It reduces the probability for an infection by about 60%. Next year maybe. My insurance gives it for free.
Hope you feel better soon, Paul.

Get well, Paul, and I’ll try do the same.

All thanks to Pablo. frak’n bastard…
Get well soon.
I hear what you’re saying, Paul.
As someone who decided to read this comic all the way thru (again) during the CORVID-19 crisis in 2020, I definitely hear you.
Took me almost two weeks to get this far.
Ended up spending a lot of time laughing my fool @55 of and chuckling a lot too.
My mother (81 YO and not in the least tech-savvy) gave me some serious glances when I did it.
