Yes, Ditech is still around, with an active website. I really hope they don’t bring those commercials back. It seemed to have a huge bias against the working man. I also tend to read too much into things when I’m about to go to bed.
Ned isn’t a working man, he’s a banker which at that time put him at least in the upper middle class (back when there was a middle class.) He is also a bit of a con artist which put him on the same level as a stockbroker. The internet made it easier to shop around for better rates and put people like Ned either out of business or made them clear up their acts.
