I’m not sure what was the trigger for this, but for as long as I can recall I’ve known that immortality would be a bad thing for me. If I was the only one immortal, then I’d end up watching everyone I loved die. And if everyone were immortal there would be little use for reproduction or it would have to be a very rare thing. Otherwise we would quickly outstrip the resources needed for living including space. Neither possibility really appeals to me, so I’ll take my short span of years and live them to the fullest. ?
Im loving the story so far, this is my first actual post. I just have to say that there are too many convenient plot points for this to become some sort of movie because all of those points run together would come out like a montage of all the solutions in startrek (they just made stuff up to fix the made up problems), and dont get me wrong its a trifling thing compared to how much I love the story, But I would like to see this animated for the sole purpose of seeing these demons in action!!!! Your artistic way of representing them is amazing! how they flow through speech and emotion taking on different appearances and forms to give the greatest possible impact to whoever is so unfortunate to have drawn their attention! Keep up the great work Sir Pablo of Wapsi!
If my guess is right, then Tina’s demons may have been the first to claim that particular “prize”. What’ll happen to them when that mortal body finally gives out?
Isn’t it odd that mortals seek immortality–and immortals seek mortality?
Not quite, no one is normally happy with it’s own status, demons are no exception

I refer you to a question posed by the esteemed late 20th Century philosopher Farrokh Bulsara.
Farrokh Bulsara was the popularizer. Important, yes, but credit for the philosophy should go to Dr. Brian May.
Just to be clear: We’re talking “Who wants to live forever?”, yes?

Jin’s doubt seriously scares me way more than Monica’s doubt. Serious wig.
Also, love Monica’s look of revulsion in the last panel.

Seph, I agree. This would make an epic animated series.
