Now — did young Barbara time-travel forward to Mindy, or did Mindy time-travel back to meet young Barbara, or did the two time lines simply co-exist for a brief period of time?
I’m going to guess that our whole 4-dimensional spacetime “looped back on itself” through some higher-dimensional manifold, so that (at this ley-line intersection at least) the two loops overlapped or were side-by-side or cast shadows on one another or something of that sort.
It’s as if the Multiverse got its innards all twisted up with indigestion, after having entirely too much pepperoni pizza while binge-watching some entertainment show which will forever be starkly unknowable to us three-dimensional beings.
And that final panel is the moment that the intersection splits apart again.
Contemporaneous Barbara wonders why Mindy is alone in a closet, while Early Barbara is found by her family, eating some kind of berry tart and talking about a nice lady with a lantern.
I’m stuck in confusion corner..or rather anticipation alley:
(Apologies for the redundancy @Dave and @Great_Scott)
1) Do the timelines intersect here? Did Barbara’s family find her at this exact instant that Barbara fin Mindy?
2) How does the berry tart quantum-tunnel into the past, assuming Barbara cannot see her younger self?
3) What is the overall cause of the intersecting timelines? is it confined to the interior of the house, or are they near a world grid intersection? Some other rift?
Re: Angry Castela Print,
Ms. Algers is going to be EXTREMELY upset, and the resulting curse on the repaired floor will wreak havoc amongst the snoggers.
Where is early Barbara in the third frame. I think Mindy was talking to an empty closet by that time. The temporal anomaly resolved itself and placed each in the correct timeline, except Barbara took her tart with her.
Whoah, Nellie!
Temporal paradox time!
Betcha Barbara-the-elder figures it out pretty fast. She’s certain to recognize/remember that This Is The Closet!
She said that she has no memory of the event. Her parents told her about it, but may not have told her which closet. Dunno.

Yes
“I’ll take ‘co-exist’ for $100, Alex.”

Probably a game of Brokian Ultra-Cricket, actually….
So which one is she speaking to?
maybe Zathras would know…. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4j4Cj8Mip0)
Zathras help explain situation. Zathras not wanting Mindy being confoozed.
tim choate should have got an emmy for that role.
Zathras is finite. You are finite. This is wrong tool.
So Barbara’s hair grows 10+ centimeters when she sleeps, I thought that the person that came was Hiroshi.

No Blinovitch Limitation Effect going on here.
This proves that there are simple explanations for such phenomena.
That explanation is, “It’s complicated.”
My question is: Has the tart gone transparent?

She won’t remember seeing herself because of The Blinovitch Limitation Effect.
… and I don’t think any of us noticed that Barbara is just about as tall as the doorway.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think Barbara is kind of hot here?
She always has been
