That slight increase in mass in the past resulted in the the Hubble constant being nudged towards a ‘Big Crunch’ value, while the slight decrease in mass in the present resulted in a nudge away again. Overall result: the Universe is slightly smaller than it should be, and may not live as long.
Mindy made the tart in the present, then passed it through to the past, where it was eaten. So not a Bootstrap Paradox for the tart, as it had a definite beginning and end. The rest of the situation is absolutely a Bootstrap Paradox though: Barbara’s experience in the past occurred because of the events that just happened now, which are only happening because of her experience in the past which brought the group here to cause the events now, resulting in a nice stable time loop.
Kinda like what’s happening in “Merceneiress”: ‘Adult’ Tirin went back in time to save her dad, which resulted in an alternate timeline that now has a Big Tirin and a Lil Tirin, and what Little Tirin sees, Big Tirin sees as well
Is this the first arc where we have had any reference to ogres being real? If not, where previously? I’ve missed it (and been unable to find it in the cast of characters) if there is one.
I don’t recall any previous mentions of ogres in the Wapsiverse. A search through the threads in the Forum (dating back several years) doesn’t turn up anything significant.
I”m liking Mindy more and more. Love how she looks in the bottom panel…
You mean Barbara right? She’s the blushing half-ogre
Both.
Not quite an “All You Zombies” moment… but definitely a self-fulfilling stitch-in-time.
Of course, beyond documenting the phenomenon, they need to address the “how” and “why” of it. If possible.
Yes, very adorable.
🙂
To hear oneself is good, to see oneself is better so, yet if you never feel anything from either; your life has nowhere to go…
‘Vue je Dae’, Once again, I am here…
By her bootstraps, Mindy.
I’m still concerned with passing a fruit tart through a time loop…
The mind boggles.

A good start is timeless.
Not a Monty Python nor a Tolkien quote between them for some time. Who ARE these imposters?
Also, they are an adorable couple.

A fun game for the archive dwellers… : Go through the archive and literally count how many times someone has said “Oh Sweetie”.

Well of course Barbara only had bits and pieces of her younger self’s memories. The timelines were out of sync. Little!Barbara couldn’t retain it.
Very appropriate,a timey-wimey wibbly wobbly story ending on the Doctor Who anniversary
