I can recognize that feeling. Being asked is someone requesting (demanding) information from you, which can be a lot more annoying than volunteering (sharing freely).
Particularly the way Brandi asked was as if she deserved the answer because she had volunteered information herself. I don’t like being pressured; so, I can certainly understand not wanting to give in to the pressure even if I want to tell people the info.
There’s been more than once that I’ve had to reply, “I’m not going to talk about my personal decisions with you. This is what I’ve decided.”
or
“I’m not going to talk about our business decisions. This is what we’ve decided.”
