Actually, on more than one occasion I have been sufficiently hopeless that I became completely calm. If you know you are totally boned, and nothing you can do will change that fact, you don’t need to panic…
Panic is for when your actions can solve a problem, but you don’t know what actions will do so, and what actions will make it worse.
