Jin doesn’t need to be in the same room to speak with someone. It might be limited to the rest of the Chimera and Monica, or she might be generally telepathic – but distance is no issue to communication for her.
Or we are looking at a static image at the exact instant that Jin pointed Brandy and so Jin speaks just as Brandy arrives. Of course this leave the question of how Jin heard Brandy’s comment about thinking Jin liked Monica…. okay, it is a bit confusing.
