I was more worried that the latest Mickeysoft Windows 10 service update got you – it messes with the settings and borks the tablet – and you just Google up the settings to reset on the Wacom site.
If your shoulders are acting up that means more structured breaks and stretches, perhaps some mobility exercises where you make little circles in various axis, and stretches for range of mobility. You’ll feel the lumps in the get-along where the one arm just doesn’t want to go there but the other side will (isn’t it nice they gave you a Control arm for reference? 😉 ) then you gently work through them.
This is an indication you haven’t given your shoulder enough time to fully heal. Please give it that time or teach yourself to draw with the other hand.
It’s certainly worth looking into the more ‘grippy’ nibs for the pen. I’ve found they make a huge difference for we who like a bit of texture to our paper.
The other thing you can try is to put a huge tablet (matte) screen protector on it. Mixed results with that, certainly have to modify brush parameters but it might be something worth trying.
Take it easy, dude. You’ve got to (a) get your shoulder better and (b) work through how a new device actually works. Both will take time, though so far so good.
Been trying to work through Daz3d for the past week or so…so far, I’m at the “how do I position the limbs without making a figure look like a contortionist?” phase. Just some things I want to work out (privately), to see how they’ll work out.
As someone else said the fact that you’re still feeling some aches and possibly pain is a sign you aren’t letting yourself properly heal. Take it easy, we’ve been with you for 15 years. A couple months wouldn’t be anything.

No DO NOT go back to work on Monday!
Go back to work Wednesday earliest!

Agreed.

I keeps tell’n ya; Just draw some ‘Shelly-Vision’ drawings using the Other Hand… :])
Hmm, maybe you should do some more at home therapy exercises. Being sore after so long isn’t really a good thing.

You also might try some formal physical therapy. Those folks greatly helped my wife after injuries and hip replacements.
Your loyal fans will (im)patiently wait as long as you need to let your arm heal properly! Take your time.
Take whatever time you need, Paul. We’re good.
See a remedial massage therapist. they can loosen you up around the shoulder and work on muscles you didnt realise were contributing to your pain.
Or with his feet. All this could have been avoided if Paul had just learned to draw with his feet.
I hate replying to someone at the top of the page, and having it appear at the bottom. Bah, humbug!
Is that arm a real thing? Because my tablet would be much easier to use if I had one of those.
Yep! =) This is the one I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00358RIRC
I know the feeling.
