You do such a good job getting me to hate this demon … My stomach knots up every time I see her.

As much as I dislike Doubt, she does have a point…as much as the demons intent is to harm the host, her doubt does give her caution to not make what could be a massive mistake considering how rigid even the scientific community can be.

Most of these “demons” in fact is good to have – IN MODERATION! They turn out to be a problem only, when one of them get to be too strong, or too weak – Vanity in moderation is just “Confidence”, Panic is “Caution”, et cetera. Without any fear you could kill yourself, because you wouldn’t realize the danger you are walking into. You need them, but do never let them grow too much!

The convoluted look on Mona’s grill in the first panel slays me! (and now we know how Mona got her Megaloglossia; DOUBT gave it to her.

Having doubt is necessary. But it should never be put in charge.

Not if that’s all you trust in.

Yeah sometimes doubt is necessary to see through lies and keep yourself from over stepping your bounds too much, and other other times vanity is needed to advance yourself and to keep going regardless of how hpoeless a situation is

All the demons with Monica are as Doubt put is a “necessery evil”. Any of the demons helps shape who she is. With out Doubt she would be way to gullible and easy to minipulate. Without Vanity she would have never had made it where she is at her job. With out panic she probably wouldn’t be alive or able to the Golem girls a secret(fear of what the world would do with them). And with out Lust/Pleasure she wouldn’t be with Kevin or ever leave her job to do anything fun. Although every one of them is needed, letting them control you would kill you as well.

The other thing I see is that I found strange and ironic in Doubt’s last statment is the fact that she said “Sometimes you just have to trust me”. All of these demons seem to pull strength/substance from a coresponding emotion. It seems the more vane that Monica was being the more Vanity got involved. So on that same note anytime Monica has doubt(ie doesn’t trust something), Doubt should be more powerful, logicly that should mean even when Monica has doubt about Doubt. The way I see it that makes Doubt a very powerful demon, she gain power from ether way she makes Monica think.
Some times I think to much into this stuff.

Unless vanity and doubt join up and you pat yourself on the back for doubting everything, and believing in very little.
