Joe Cocker did do a few which might be referenced here… “Different Roads”, “High Time We Went”, “I Can’t Say No”, “You Know it’s Gonna Hurt”, “A Little Help From My Friends”… there are others as well.
What I take away from this is a) Bud and Kevin live in the same building as Kath and Castela; b) Bud needs an adventure; and c) Bud sure blushes a lot for a Golem!😸
I think it was previously stated elsewhere that they converted a multistory loft building for Kath’s family — I believe there’s a common floor, and then at least one floor for each of them. There’s no one else in their building. (Perhaps Bud is visiting in Cas’s house, or Bud’s place has decor similar to Cas’s place.)
Um, truly trying to not be mean, but those are bog standard Dell monitors. Now, the dual screen setup is more common among those of us who are enthusiasts, but IIRC Kevin is a photographer.
Thank you, Gavote. I was getting ready to post that those monitors strongly resemble my own HP monitor that I paid $20 for at Goodwill, and works like a champ.
To chime in here, now that Gavote said what he said: those are pretty old dell monitors, from what I can see.
It’s not that there is anything wrong with having something that still works, it’s just that I’ve been around since monochrome CRT monitors (and dumb terminals, etc)- long enough to recognize the faithfulness to a real model line that Paul has modeled his pictures on.
Pretty faithful rendition… (I will say he’s showing some pretty masterful cable-management there too…)
Cas,- “We still need an adult to go with us!”
Bud,- “You need an adultier adult, not me! I’m not an adult, I’m just a bog dangerous kid! ”
“Aunt Bud….”
it is interesting to see a US-centered comic that places great attention on details portray an area near where I live. I’ll be looking forward how the area and people will be portrayed (hopefully not as tech-averse hillbillies).
thank You very much!
The Black Forest region (in the rural former state of Baden) has a bit of a stereotype as a backwater (compared to the more urbanised north of the state). Mobile reception can be limited in the mountains (and the companies’ interest in remedying that is limtied), Freiburg with its over 200000 inhabitants is already a major city in the area, but there are numerous smaller cities, villages and towns. Internet access is widely available and solar-panels on houses are not uncommon. Some isolated farmsteads might only have cable-phone coverage, but probably also a PC and some form of internet-access.
Due to the huge number of tiny states (noble-territories, churchs’ territories, free cities and such) during the middle-ages, there are numerous castle ruins and a few relatively intact castles in the landscape, many were destroyed in peasant-uprisings or more recent wars, so a castle-like mansion (esp. from the Renaissance) is certainly something one is likely to find here … I didn’t get any food from any ghosts, though.
You just need a vimana cell. Only problem is, you try to put one together and you’re gonna get a visit from Brandi – which isn’t going to be a social call.
Well — it is “Good Friday” in the Christian world, and at/near Passover in the Jewish world, but I don’t know what Paul’s religious beliefs might be or if that would affect the strip. He may just be taking the day off due to one or the other. (I believe the “Financial” world seems to take Good Friday off…)
Well, we are all hopefully awaiting any good news, but there hasn’t been anything ‘official’ quite yet. eBay has three recent entries, ‘the Forum’ is wondering the same thing, aaaaaaand of this posting: facebook has no real update either…
You’re shirking your aunt duties, Bud.
I hadn’t ever thought to look up leyline maps.
“Ley lady ley,
Ley across my big Earth grid.”
(With modest apologies to Mr. Dylan)
Dylan wrote it? I thought it was cocker wot wrote it.
Definitely Dylan.

Not that Cocker wrote all of those either.
“With A Little Help From My Friends” being penned by a little-known songwriting duo called Lennon & McCartney, for example.

I think this must be MIB HQ. Note the fancy monitors.

Nah, panel one is Bud and Stela in the Gilchrist home, panels two and three is at Bud & Kevin’s loft
Or maybe it’s the other way around: start off in the Loft, move to the Home
I like bud… ver cool char.

Hello,
it is interesting to see a US-centered comic that places great attention on details portray an area near where I live. I’ll be looking forward how the area and people will be portrayed (hopefully not as tech-averse hillbillies).
Greetings from Freiburg!
Germans? Tech averse?! Certainly not the Germans I know!
Herzliche grüße von Michigan.
Hello Gavote,
thank You very much!
The Black Forest region (in the rural former state of Baden) has a bit of a stereotype as a backwater (compared to the more urbanised north of the state). With best regards

If you’re a User, and you’re near enough to a line, you can probably make your own anchor.
You just need a vimana cell. Only problem is, you try to put one together and you’re gonna get a visit from Brandi – which isn’t going to be a social call.
It’s the other functions of “chaperone” that make Ms. Budur uneasy…
Look at that large intersection right over Glastonbury in england…seems legit.
Also an huge intersection right over the Suez canal…seems like we should be losing as many ships as in the Bermuda Triangle…
If it were not for constant monitored traffic and maintenance we’d lose the entire canal if we looked the wrong way for a bit.
Perhaps one of Stinky’s cousins keeps an eye on Suez.
Thought that was Giza, and it has it’s own guardian Sphinx
What is interesting is the Nexus in the middle of China and the one on the Kamchatka peninsula
Glastonbury? More like Stonehenge.
Then again, due to the scale, it could be anywhere in southwest England or southern Wales.
Kiddo just likes hanging out with her Aunt Bud, is all.
Sorry Aunt Bud, Kevin will have to wait 😛
Operation Sleepover at Haunted Castle is a go!! 😀
C’mon, Castle just wants to be with her Auntie; give it up, Bud!
First panel, Bud is conveying dredd and anticipated remorse…
Judge Dredd? o_O
She’s got the chin for it.
I notice that we don’t see the lines over the Americas…
The monitor showing the Americas is probably “offscreen left” in that panel.
There’s lots of places missing. Everything between the Middle East to India, the polar regions, most of the southern hemisphere, to name a few.
Hmmm… We’re now into Friday and no update. I hope there’s no problems.

Could be as simple as a car hitting the wrong pole, or someone digging up the trunk line, so no internet.
Had that happen near here several years ago . . . the line was like 50 feet from where it was supposed to be.
