You’ve got a great future, Castela. I think you’ll save us all.

Love the facial expression here! I think it captures obstinate adolescent frustation just perfectly.

I didn’t realize she was the byproduct of some probably-evil experiment…

Probably the experiment that was overseen by, and ultimately led to the death of, Atsali’s parents. And her human side may just be from snippets of their DNA, and they really are sisters.

I’ve been finding it odd that a plant creature whose humanoid form is basically made out of knitted vines is having issues with the shape of her body. It’s not her true form; can’t she just reshape it at will? True, to fit in with the human world she has to have a believable form and can’t just give herself a completely new shape every day, but slight tweaks to her calves wouldn’t be out of line, especially if she changed them gradually each day.

I’m having less trouble with the hormone issue. So she has auxins instead, so what? She’s going through the time in the life cycle of a whatsit that involves maturing into her adult form. That’s going to be traumatic for any species.

I think it’s because Para Hybridization really does fuse human with whatever. But it does it on a level we can’t comprehend yet.
This is a very big and very old galaxy with who-knows-what kind of evolution/science involved developed over billions and billions of years, not the piddling thousands and millions of years we normally deal with.
I say we just go with the flow.

      Castela isn’t a Plant. She’s a HYBRID. <– nutshell version of an explanation…

Well, if that isn’t the best reason ever given by a bio major, I don’t know what is.

Also, I don’t see why Pickle is so pissed about her calves… Seth Rollins would be jealous!

It was her ankles, not her calves.

Mainly that her ankles are as thick as her calves.
