Paul: Thank you, and I am really sorry.
First off, I’ve been having a pretty darn crappy 2010 (and 2009 was no peach, either.), but have been slugging through it, and finding those little things that amuse me, just to get through. So today, after having yet another tedious and misery-inducing day, I open up my RSS reader and have Monica smile at me. Every time I look at that I have to fight to not get a matching stupid grin on my face. So, thank you.
Now for the apology. I am so stealing that picture. I’ll deal with the digital version for now, but if someone breaks into your house in the next couple of days and that picture vanishes… well, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I’m off to look at that grin again. 😀
Tina (mock Darth Vader voice): I sense something… a feeling I’ve not felt since the last time my friend had ‘grab the head board sex’… *walks off with storm troopers*
Maybe I can grow to like the shorter hair on Monica.
Maybe if I saw a good, color picture of her as she is now …
This post, would be one of the best I have seen for such a picture.
Ya who said anything about weaponizing the ggs? Now a days people would just have em turn a handle really fast to turn a magnet and produce energy indefinitely…. of course that is completely inhumane and unfeeling so I did not say that
To be absolutely fair, a lot depends on how it was played out. I’ve certainly done screaming dives at my wife when she’s been gone a while.
And this will sound like the most misogynist statement ever, but this bit was played for comedy value. While nobody would endorse the dropping of anvils on peoples heads (or 16 ton weights, for Monty Python fans), but that is hardly the example used when people talk of cartoon violence. Comedy is associated with an aborted flight or fight response (kinda explains why so much of our comedy is so… yeah.), so that bit of violence, done in such an exaggerated way, is viewed with humor.
Likewise, this. Incidentally, I happen to agree with you, and find the ‘turn it around’ test to be quite useful. But in a world where animated internal demons, where the heroine goes off to fix the Mayan calendar to stop the world from restarting, where characters are demons and sphinxes and golems… I think a certain amount of suspension of disbelief is needed.
Look at the Gigantic Grin on here face!
That slightly lopsided grin is GREAT lol
yessss i do love this…so funny!
So that’s why I never smile any more.
Yes Monica. You know you should be careful with you things or they can break
.
She didn’t break him – but she may have left him bent……….
… and possibly abraded *ouch*
Certainly wilted … too much ‘Sunshine’ will do that … 😉
Speaking of breaking, I’m reminded of a song or two popular a few years back: http://artists.letssingit.com/fiona-apple-lyrics-criminal-smt8ppv. I’m thinking there was another, but can’t recall it…
At last, the secret source of Disney’s too wide smiles and perky attitudes is revealed
shhhhhhh. Mustn’t upset the kiddies.
Or is that enlighten…
Always wondered what that Magic Carpet Ride was really about. 😉
Oh, thank you so much. Now I won’t be able to hold a dirty laugh inside while watching Alladin with my nephiews and nieces. XD
People do tend to mouse around at Disneyland … and now we know why it’s called the “Happiest Place on Earth”.
Brilliant !
Boyfriends are fragile.
Or at least their egos can be if she wants more than they have to give…
Sunshine, LIKE A SUPERNOVA !!!
Looks like Monica could give Cheshire Cat some grinning lessons.
Now, that’s the cute little Monica we all know and adore.
Her power level – it’s OVER 9000!
That can’t right!
over nineTHOUSAAAANNNNNNDDDDDDD!
NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAND! 😀
Yeah, where can I sign up for some of that? The girl could light up NYC for a night.
should we chain her to a solar panel when she’s in that mood….
Ahhhh… if only we all could have that sort of smile. =)
Hah! I -love- Monica’s look in that last panel!
Not to mention that Tina survived Phix’s last visit!
Something interesting there, no doubt!

I even colored it and made a new Gravatar. Life? I know not what this thing you speak of is.
If we had a Fan Art section like in the old forums, I’d be saying “SHAR PLZ KTNXBAI”.
I second the Request …
I would like to see the colored picture of Monica in short hair too
I must say that is a wonderful color job. Do you think you could email me the picture at jonalewis72094@yahoo.com?
Check your mailbox.
Me three? lizzibabe@gmail.com
That’s the happiest I have ever seen her look 🙂
That’s the happiest I’ve ever seen anyone look.
Now that’s a smile that could launch a thousand ships.
I think the only time I’ve seen a wider smile in this strip was by Shel at the beginning of the “visit to the Bra Queen” arc.
This is what I meant (for those late to the party)
Now that’s what I call a smile
Ahhhhhhhh, yes…I remember………”Happiness is……….!”
Multiple Orgasms?
“… a warm … uhhh … puppy.”
Tina (mock Darth Vader voice): I sense something… a feeling I’ve not felt since the last time my friend had ‘grab the head board sex’… *walks off with storm troopers*
Only his mind, his body still functions just fine.
Do you think it’s still waiting for a table at stella’s? lol
No words needed…..That smile Screams “I GOT ME SOME!”
You’ve been hanging with Elizabeth too much ^_~*
Coming in all charged up like that, does Moni really need coffee?
Nope. She just wanted to brag.
Nope I think it’s a herbal tea day… else the shop may explode.
And on a side note it’s nice to see that Phix didn’t destroy Tina after all.
Maybe I can grow to like the shorter hair on Monica.
Maybe if I saw a good, color picture of her as she is now …

Yeah, it does that. 😀
If only we could harness that smile’s energy, we could power a city for a year.
And if we could harness the power of the punch Bud once decked Jin with, it would probably power a city for days or weeks…
Ya who said anything about weaponizing the ggs? Now a days people would just have em turn a handle really fast to turn a magnet and produce energy indefinitely…. of course that is completely inhumane and unfeeling so I did not say that
But… but… they are just things, right?
..what if Bud wanted to bulk up her little girl arms?
😀
Wondering if Tina can even see Monica through her aura

He “died” happy.
I sense sunshi-i-ine
On a cloudy day…
Like people need paranormal powers to be able to see that!
