Draygon some programmers did figure out how to make a redstone computer, so in theory you could continue their work to make the computer powerful enough and able to run the Java virtual machine, then load minecraft into that computer and play minecraft on the redstone computer.
So yes, in theory you could play minecraft in minecraft, I imagine it would take a very powerful machine though.
Now what would happen if you did all that, saved your game, then copied the save file into your minecraft game and loaded it on your redstone computer?
