    Whoa! The Holy Sword of the Island Empire’s Mythical King!

    To pull that out of the stone, I’d wear a dress.

    She’s so scared of dresses that her teeth grew out a bit from the dream… Poor, poor Shelly.

    Seeing a hennin while in the Time Forest always meant trouble.

    Or maybe it explained trouble, what with all the other timelines running along the opposite arrow.

    Why does Shelly get to be the pretty, poofy, pink princess? I didn’t vote for her. Weird sentient libraries distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical rock ceremony.

      Witness the violence inherent in the system!

    “Whosoever pulleth out this sword from this stone and anvil is likewise King of all England.” Or Queen as the case may be. (c8

      Because ruling a former country ~1/3 the size of Texas is such a great reward.

        Still is a country last time I checked. I’ll look out of the window … yep, England’s still there

        @Gyrre: no offense MEANT, but…

        @Yoduff: unfortunately, that is a symptom of the “GO ‘Murica!” education system. they tend to … miss… little inconsequential things like that, ya’ know??

        @scantrontb well… yes. America is the better part of a continent. England, on the other hand, is a quaint province.
        Of course Americans tend towards “England?! So?!”.

      I think to be “the better part of” anything, you need to be more than half of it, not less.

    I missed Shelly!

    Now then, as to the dream, is this a new transformation that Shelly is feeling anxiety about, or is she still processing becoming a sphinx? I would think that the eons spent in the time forest might have helped…is the confusion corner still around?
