    Ah yes, the rules of confidentiality about mythology.

    The ancient Greeks would execute anyone who revealed the Eleusinian Mysteries. And that probably just involved how to make napalm.

    The sacrificial pigs and bulls weren’t a secret to anybody.

      Those who were privy to the Eleusinian mysteries were said not to fear death. I suspect someone discovered something resembling CPR, most likely when a friend accidentally drowned. The initiation would then have been what we now call a near-death experience.

      I should clarify that this is sheer speculation on my part.
