There’ve been multiple examples that the golems can pick up people’s silent internal monologue. They’ve never come right out and said they were telepathic. The means might be more metaphysical than, say, X-Men’s Jean Grey. Attuning oneself to a frequency in the Akashic layer, or some such? This sort of long-distance eavesdropping is something we haven’t been shown before now.
Jin is confident that it didn’t come from Tina (‘That’s too direct to have come from that shattered barista…’). She’s not crediting Bud with the wisdom to produce a statement like that. So, Jin’s confused as to who it came from.
Interestingly, this suggests that Jin’s not *hearing* the words as they are spoken or that she pays zero attention to those around and doesn’t recognise Bud’s voice.
Stalktastic? Or more like just listening to a radio program that is also what Monica is hearing?
I suspect telepathy.
telenous?

Took me several rereads before I noticed it…
Jin thinks that came from Tina, instead of Bud. Tina calls her Sunshine, Bud calls her Princess.
It did come from Tina — that’s word-for-word what Tina said several strips ago. Apparently Jin is listening in somehow.
Whoops, I misremembered. You’re right, that was Bud talking to Monica.
