And if so, does that mean Monica didn’t have her “attempted suicide” when she was younger in the other tries?

A good assumption is it hasn’t happened every time but the closer you get to the current cycle the more likely it gets that more has been tested in a previous cycle.
This based on a few things that Jin dropped. Like only having met the grandfather of Monica from cycle 50 onward. This is a clear indication that Jin has been altering the chain of events branching of in a new direction at points where she guesstimated she’d get closer to her goal then last cycle.
