So that would make Leucoisa Casela’s mother?

      Atsali’s Mother.

The answer could very well be “yes”.

      Insofar as Castela has “mother”…

“Agent who briefly took custody of the ‘seedling’ Castella”, would be accurate. “Mother” would be a pretty large leap.
At toddler age, Castella considered the scientists who created her to be her “parents”; they clearly spent much more time with her.

And the reality of her decision begins to set in like a ton of bricks.

It is suspected that Atsali’s parents were involved in the project to weaponise the blackthorn and that they pulled out; apparently they took Castela with them.

This sort of makes Big Bird and Stinkweed actually sisters, not just by adoption, since they had the same parents.

Hrm. Why is it I’m vaguely remembering Atsali having been forcibly extracted from those that weaponised her? Anyone got a link to the early references? I vaguely remember them being from the fey’s POV …

Ah, here we are – http://wapsisquare.com/comic/just-a-fairy/ seems to be about the start of it, telling us what was up about Castela and the Fae and all …

…*Sigh* This is not going to end well for Castela, but it’ll be necessary in the long run. I think Phix did this on purpose.

Does she ever not do something on purpose?

        November 2, 2016, 12:10 am | #

Well, i don’t think she actually INTENDED to kill and eat that other sphinx, and her attempt to kill Lily and Suzi was pretty much impulse.

And her reaction (that got her confined to the Library) to Nudge’s trick was definitely Not Fully Considered.

@TKKain…. nope, not going to end well, but just maybe it will end the way it *should*, with Pickle knowing the WHOLE story and not just bits of it.

Many a time I am dead certain that I would have made a better decision if I had of known all of what was going on instead of a bit of it.

Hopefully Pickle will figure out that maybe she needs to wait for Atsali to open up to her about it and pretend that she is being told for the first time…..

The lil stink weed is not gonna like the way this is gonna play out at all, hopefully the damage to the research room will not be extensive. :-\ :-!

I’m betting hat her plasma powers are offline in the Q Room.

There is still her super strength to bust up the walls and furniture if any in the Q room.

    “I need to call daddy”.

IIRC, she was on the phone to Daddy when the attackers turned up, so Castela might be getting her answer to why her more-literal-than-expected sister freaks out, but she doesn’t seem to be getting much about the why of the why, as it were.

Wait, is this a time-travel thing? Or just a Holodeck memory thing?
Last page read was when Phix asked if Stela was truly ready

It seems to be more just a 3d movie room, of sorts. It’s just visually compiling the written data located around the library.

Star Trek Holodeck in “Observer” mode.

Samuraieagle: yeah, read the previous page where Phix explained what the room is after posting above

But that just means, the Library knows everything, and so does Phix

Combining a Holodeck (everyone knows how well those things work) with a Q (or the Q), and that just begs for trouble
