It’s probably something about Monica either going crazy or being taken over by somebody’s demons (not necessarily her own, especially from what we’ve recently seen……)
What it makes me wonder, if past Brandi had all this thought out, why did she need another iteration to fix the machine? And, if it doesn’t work this time, will she have time to create (and modify) the book again for the next Brandi? My Puzzler is getting sore.
I’m imagining Bud’s eyes “glazing over” like she does when she’s popping popcorn in the first panel. Too bad this strip’s not in color – I could imagine her eyes literally turning red.

Well, that ended that little bit of drama. It looks as if this past incarnation of Brandi thought of everything.
And now we’ll be wondering why until like 2 strips before the comic ends.
Who says the comic strip is going to end when this is resolved?
