This arc is breaking my heart all over the place. I love the golem girls.

You are an amazing writer, my good man.

just pointing out the “mass murder” part is “evil”
the fact that they kill murderers makes it less bad but it’s still not good

even hitler was trying his best to make the world better for his people

it’s not the intentions that matter only the methods used

They were not themselves. They were turned into a creature of pain and fear and rage. Literally. If that doesn’t qualify as self-defence, then it sure as hell counts as Temporary Insanity. And as for Jin, she was trying to hold them back.

      I agree.
They never had a choice in what they did.
Think about it this way: do you blame “Little Boy” and “Fat Man” for exploding??

They were intended to be tools and wound up turning into the antediluvian equivalent of an uncontrolled nuclear reaction…

Hell maybe not even the “equivalent” if certain theories about the ruins of Mohenjo-Daro and Kotdiji are to be believed…

OK in order who do you feel the most sorry for? For me it’s brandi in panel 3.

Once they were assigned the role of “drunk party girls,” Bud seemed to act out a lot more than Jin or Brandi. That to me says she was the most damaged by it all.

But oddly enough, I feel sorriest for Jin. Think about it. The other two were so twisted by pain, fear and horror that they were barely aware of what they were doing. But Jin, in trying to free them, wound up unleashing something that wiped out civilization and nearly destroyed the entire human race.

And then she not only had to watch it all happen, but was forced to join in.

Yeah. I’m gonna go with Jin, then Bud, and Brandi last.

I suspect that, has Jin not intervened (and let herself be taken over) they would have had the power but could only exercise it at the command of the priests.

Basically, they were built to be a WMD but Jin’s sacrifice meant that no-one their finger on the button and the horrors that the other two had already been put through meant that the weapon had already been armed.
