I know this is gonna get a lot of hate, but I feel like it’s worth asking. Is this comic done with Monica and the old adventuring crew? I was really drawn in by the bad-ass women fighting supernatural apocalypses mixed in with the occasional pinup art of adults. However, over the past year it seems like it’s become more of a documentary of sexually-charged teenagers trying to bring attention to and fight social injustices mixed in with borderline jailbait cheesecake art. That’s perfectly fine for some people and Paul’s gonna draw what he wants to, it’s his comic, I just want to know where it stands so I can move on if what I enjoyed about it has been phased out in favor of a new format/message.

Monica & company aren’t going anywhere soon. Some are mentors to the new guard, remember?

Paul pretty much ran out of stories for the “Original Crew”, and it was either introduce some “fresh blood” or put an end to Wapsi Square
And at least the ‘Originals’ are still around, it’s just now the cast has expanded so some will have less ‘screen time’ and be more time between seeing some of the others

More like a torch has been passed onto the next generation.

Overall, we do seem to have moved solidly into “slice of life” comic and away from “Adventures uncovering the secrets of the ancient world”.
Frankly i remember when the “main story” wrapped up and Kathleen started her big arc with her line “I need an adventure” and I was pretty sure she was speaking for both the author and herself at the same time.
We may have another big adventure arc in our future, in its own time. Who knows? (Aside from possibly Paul, of course)

Raising teenagers isn’t an adventure? I beg to differ.

Alas people change, for good or ill; what person you’ll be, only time will tell…

Hope we read more about Krystle and Jessie before ‘Sali helped them ‘evolve’ into decent people
