In my limited experience, kindergartners are easy to work with. It’s around fourth grade when they turn into assholes, and they stay assholes all the way through middle school.
I taught kindergarten for a single day, just one. They never sit, they never listen, they have the attention span of butterflies. Fifth graders love to listen and learn, as long as it’s interesting they’ll stay with you for hours.
I did substitute teaching for a while. I was happy with kindergartners through third grade. Anything above that was intolerable. Of course, all kids think a sub is an excuse to show their ass, but the middle grades were the worst.
I believe we are dealing with a ridiculously advanced biology. A biology that fuses species without destroying their identities. So the answer to BarerMender’s question is yes.
Part of that biology’s bag of tricks is something we take for granted in Pablo’s world but is (at least so far) impossible in ours; access to hammerspace, even for whole body parts and perhaps whole bodies.
I’d like to think the paras are the result of the impact of a much larger and older universe on us poor primitive Earthlings.
Made the connection in panel 1.
I am more curious why Atsali and Castela did not recognize her in the previous page. Seeing that Bryn is apparently a teacher in their school…
You’re pic was good!
Not only am I broke, but I keep missing the auctions. I guess that they’re one-day auctions or something. I have to be content with .
Don’t tell me… she’s afraid of spiders!
Well, she did read The Lord of the Rings.

And, a fair number of them (us) never get out of that particular habit.

Try high school. They start to be a little more human in college.
Interesting, I’d thought Cori was being built up to be one of Atsali’s college friends judging by the art on ebay.
College friend couldn’t be teaching at a prominent para high school?
Gah, nevermind, I got my characters mixed up
<3 half orc kindergarten teacher.. Will have to share with orc loving niece…
In the last frame, Bryn looks like he’s giving Cori the flirty eyes. Of course, she’s a faun. She’s probably flirty all the time.
That would make Catharine a sad mother, so it’s probably just the angle
Fiction stands on conflict. As far as we know, though, Katherine’s thing with Bryn was just a fling.
*she’s*
Couldn’t help it. :/

Nice!
Nice job, Akamar!
Here’s an interesting (to me) question: Are all the paras homo sapiens, or are they different species?
Its my opinion that Paranormals in this world are not only different species than humans but a different class than mammals.

So long as she didn’t go from teacher’s aide at the beginning of the day to teacher at the end of it.
I see what you did there.

…Does ANYBODY realize that we’ve seen one of these two before?!

Maybe Bryn is in from the district. Or maybe Paul liked the character so well he shoved her in the school just now.
Bryn is a teacher at Gryphon Elementary, according to the tags. Not likely that Atsali and Castela meet her.
I suspect that Brin may be an administrator, maybe even the principal.
She’s DAMN cute for being an Orcess
Yep, yep. Vive la Difference!
Those that haven’t been checking Pablo’s eBay store (shock!) should really check out the recent items if you like Cori: http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=&LH_Complete=1&_ssn=pablowapsi&_sop=13
*cries* But I’m so broooooke!
… guess I just need to draw more of my own pictures of her… :3

If she’s the principal of Gryphon, Kath is a bit more connected than we thought…
I believe Jennie Breeden’s LARP character in an orc.
Arrgh! (•>Bleep<•ing lack of "edit" function/option)😡
*”^is^ an orc” (not “in an orc”)
