It’s the only component, unless you’re drinking way too much, hurting yourself with drunken adventures or not getting enough sleep. I’m 38 years old and I’ve been hung over like twice, because I didn’t drink enough water. And even then, drinking enough water makes it better. It’s annoying to me how many people think hangovers are some kind of inevitable and incurable Lutherian punishment for having fun.
I don’t think Shelly can, but some people really would be able to hear Tina’s smile. There is a condition called synesthesia, where the senses are crossed. I have it, mildly, I know what color numbers, letters and sounds are. I don’t see them in the real world as some people do (these people are called “projectors” I’m an “associator”) Most synesthetes (who I like to call synners) have sound-to-sight synesthesia, but any two (or more, to some synners sound has color and texture) senses can be crossed.
I used to play all kinds of tricks on my friends when they were suffering from a hangover. Thing is no matter what I drank I never had any problem the day after. That is it used to be that way, then one day when I was almost thirty I woke up with a hangover, and it was a real shock to the system.
Hangovers are only fun when others are suffering from them…
Dark they were and EVIL eyed!
Alcohol dehydrates you; that’s one of the major components of a hangover.
And coffee … also dehydrates you. So Tina is actually not helping.
The other problem is now you are awake, hung over, and just NEED to die- like right now to end this!
Espresso not recommended.

Its the first hint of Tina’s Choppers
Also her eyes. They’re not as pronounced as they would be later, but they’re still present.
McPedro!!
Wait, scratch that. No moustache. 🙁
Why do I hear the buzzing of flies and quite possibly the sound of thunder when I see the 2nd panel? Also, awesome quote in the 4th panel 🙂

Sounds strangely similar to that “Augmented Reality” they’re doing with VR tech now. :/
never had a hangover in my life, this kinda makes me pity those that do….kinda
