Well, she only mentioned four people and there were a lot more than that in the bar, so you could’ve still been right. Depending on what was wrong with her engine, it may have needed to be in a garage to fix anyway, so it’s possible one was a mechanic, looked at it for her and let her know this 🙂
Not even the best mechanic can materialize fasteners that have fallen off. Something needs to hold the oilpan in place, plus she might have been down a bit low on oil.
Even though some of them might actually be professional mechanics, the rest of them have probably enough mechanics on at least a hobby-level to maintain their bikes. Just because someone is a doctor or a lawyer doesn’t mean that *all* they do in their life.

Shedding the oil pan is usually not something that can be fixed at roadside.
