Actually, Bryan and I are off a bit. Several strips ahead, we see that “puppy dog tails” is an actual item on that coffee shop’s menu. I’m guessing it’s a straight-shaped donut of some kind, but it’s probably a specialty item of the shop, not something known all over the place.
Mind you, the folks who named the thing were probably referencing that nursery rhyme, so you can see why we’d go to the same place on that one.
