Seems to be one of the taglines of the comic.

Wapsi is a story of sacrifice. The usual everyday sacrifices, large and small, that are made entering adulthood, like the rest of the YA genre. But there is an eye to the ultimate ones, which exist on the same spectrum, not just as an association of the supernatural story, but here in the real everyday.

And those, by definition, are not fair.

No sacrifice is ever fair. If it was, it would be an exchange.

Having done something like this fairly recently, I should say it was missing from the scene as a big bowl of blood. Scalp wounds bleed like crazy, because there was very little space for the tissue and veins, between the hard skull and the skin stretched over it.
So yeah, lots of dark, non-arterialblood, even if there’s no damage to the skull or brain.

Somehow that posted while I was still editing. Auto-dictate got terrible once they shove AI in where it wasn’t needed.
Please delete the comment. If I remember I’ll come back and do it properly.
…unless you feel like editing it correctly yourself?
