You know, for a social misfit she certainly isn’t lacking for hobbies and stuff to occupy her time…or people to call friend, or people to be potential love interests at this point. So what if she isn’t a social butterfly, one need not define the fulfillment of their life by having a trillion friends.
Yay, introverts! Happy being themselves for centuries!
We may be “social misfits”–but does that not say something about society’s standards as well as us?
moe is asking his regulars if he’s ugly. carl replies that it’s all relative. “is homer really that fat? is barney really that drunk? is lenny really that stupid?” with this realization, everyone else starts crying and carl says “this is why i don’t talk that much”
… Not helping much, ehh? Do not worry – definiate the social circles, you will find easily a few, where you can fit in. The problem is, people often forget, that there is no such thing, as a big circle, which apply to every person. Several smaller circles, with some common part, yes. A big circle? Most definiately NO.
A good yard stick for being a social misfit will always be how many people we can hold hostage with a booger. It’s been an historical measuring stick for centuries if not longer.
