Cricket is Atsali’s age, so a lot more than two years older than Castela & crew. Remeber, Cas just entered middle school the same year that Atsali started college.
Irma. Rode it out at my mother’s house. Didn’t lose power at all there during the storm—but it went off the next morning and stayed off for a day. Ruined all my ice cream. Cable came on at my mother’s last night…came on this morning at my house down the street.
Lotsa blown-down brush, and, at my mother’s, four downed trees, to clear away. Actually clearing all that away is more aggravating than the actual storm. Certainly it’s sweatier.
here in Arizona, what takes out our trees is a heavy wet snowfall. winter before last, it took out 7 pine trees in my neighborhood. four of which were i our yard. killed power lines several times. (once, five minutes after the power company fixed it. lol.) but they also fell on our houe and cars and blocked roads.
In 2004, when 3 hurricanes went over Central Florida, we had 400,000 trees down. They gathered them up and piled them in huge windrows wherever they could find space. Took over a year to get them all chipped and disposed of.
I don’t think we’ve ever seen any indication of that. If it were, Kath wouldn’t have made such a point of Lily’s recommendation that Kath eat at a particular local restaurant in Tokyo, I think. Nor would the whole issue of Atsali and Nadette’s relationship suddenly becoming a long-distance one, have come up.
In http://wapsisquare.com/comic/glad-to-leave/ Berdine said the twins had moved there “from out west”. She had told Atsali that they’d heard that Calista was from “the east coast”, and Cricket confirmed that she gotten into trouble at her previous school and that “dad t’ought dah Midwest’d be more laid back.”
Everything so far points to Gryphon being in, or close to Minneapolis.
The only thing I’ve seen to indicate that Gryphon High might be in Japan is the rooftop courtyard, a staple of urban Japan architecture. But you can put a rooftop courtyard on any building, anywhere, so that alone isn’t enough to definitively say where the school building is.
Oh, she has it bad.
What do you bet Hiroshi’s parents will want to reward her.
I wonder if kitsune smell like fae to Castela.
Yeah, look at how glammed-up her ‘Human’ aspect is, and on top of that she’s slipping just a bit…
At least their ages are safely close to each other.
Yeah, but during the teen years, even 6 months age difference can make or break compatibility.
And Atsali is in Tokyo….
I sure hope the psycho Fae that is 2 years ahead of them isn’t Cricket…
Nah, pretty sure Monica put the Fear of Demi-God into her.

I missed the whole Atsali at college sequence. I’ve been without internet access for five days.
Irma??

Yeah, my power was down 4 days in Altamonte Springs. Sucks really bad.

of course our biggest natural disaster is summer wildfires. several times, we’ve been as close as 15 miles to one.

Hey, I didn’t know Timothy was left-handed.
Most cats are, so he must be feloid.
Citation needed.
Well, it’s tired and I’m late, but here’s one:

Thanks.
You’re joking; I thought he was a Werewolf

I’m somehow getting the impression that Castela’s eye is repeatedly popping in & out while saying “Cuckoo! Cuckoo!”
