This page is still so mysterious. The Chess Master somehow knows of the prophecy and Bia’s attempts to fulfill it, and somehow thinks that Bia’s doing it wrong. But what does this even mean?
As far as we know, Bia’s been experimenting with breeding with different species, but half-Titans just aren’t immortal. By the present day she’s found out that she can half an immortal descendant if they’re half Titan and half sphinx, though presumably it took a while to find that out.
But the CM here is thinking that Bia’s barking up the wrong tree and that immortal isn’t the point. The CM wants Bia’s attempts to fulfill the prophecy to fail, I suppose? She thinks that it’ll be a mortal descendant and not an immortal one who will succeed? But we see Shelly (immortal) set so many things right. So what future pieces are falling into place here? Are there other things that need setting right that Shelly isn’t doing, or perhaps can’t do? What other characters are descendants of Bia? So many questions!
