Acacia has had millennia of experience Cas. It does help in keeping up with a youngster with the potential of an epic death machine.

At this point they should be on a first name basis. And, the butterfly should get billing as a Characters now.

Ya know, I actually did look at the character tags before clicking on comments just to see if it had one now.

I like the Bloom County-esque “Ya Know”, and the butterfly motif. Classic Bud.

    It’s called The Butterfly Effect.

The gentle flapping of wings produced the effect of actually calming a raging storm…

        Exactly. Chaos specialists, take note.

Is that the butterfly from Awkward Yeti? Castela acts a little bit like Heart so that would not be a stretch.

No, this flutter-by showed up last time Stela was in the Canyon

I recognize Canyon de Chelly in Arizona. I’d hope that nothing is getting blown up there, too many people in the area.

I thought that Bud has said that this specific valley/box canyon was sealed off, and entirely sterile of life? that way there would be ZERO accidental deaths here of ANYTHING? and that is what was so surprising about the butterfly showing …

IF that is actually the case, then those bushes in panel two are an anomaly that needs to be rectified…

ok, re-reading the strips where that was mentioned, she says “Naturally Occuring WILDlife”, not just “LIFE” so i guess the plants are ok then… however by that same logic the Butterfly is either a Sentient being here under it’s OWN Cognizance, OR as Pickle suspects, that someone let it in specifically… (most likely Bud)

Is that her friend from the last time she went to Canyon de Chelly to blow off steam?

Ya know, Digit had a name while she was still a spider. I think if the butterfly makes one more appearance, it needs to be named. 😉

I dearly love the “Awww, shucks. Who? Me?” look on Reginald’s face.
