Sadly she should be that guarded as the less endangered people in the military battlefield do not let there guard down to number 2 and keep body armor on while doing it.
So does that mean Monica HAS figured out that absolutely no amount of staying on guard will actually matter, considering the things the various supernatural entities in her daily life have been able to do to her with a mere thought?
Hmm. I wonder if that kind of realization would drive a person crazy with worry, or.. just the opposite; put them at ease?
Having recently received the latest volume from Lulu, may I say:
1. Beautiful work! And,
2. I’m so glad to have the series in one place so I can finally figure out some this stuff!
It’s clear from the reading that you put a lot of effort into planning and scripting the story months in advance — well done sir! Some other anthologies I’ve seen suffer from glaring problems when you get to see a years worth in a single go. Not Wapsi Square by a long shot!
Well done and may the adventure continue to amaze!
Apropos – I posted about this in the earlier news item on the book, but does your book by any chance also say “The Timekeeper’s Daughter” on its spine?
Of course, as long as she has Jin around to assist in her morning ablutions, she won’t need to let her guard down long enough…
The first panel reminds me I’m in awe of how the art has improved and grown over the last year; ’twas always nice, but it’s taken a sudden quantum leap over your previous steady improvement.
For me, the shadows in panel one echo the moment just before Shelly plunged the “knife” into Monica’s crown during the Calendar incident… anybody else? I never tire of this story or the characters. I am so glad to see Tina getting more character time; she’s one of my faves, tho’ I must say, ever since the squirrel “tastes like chicken” incident, Katherine has been my girl. Love her! Thank you, Pablo!
That’d be some pensive pinching .
worse than farting in public
Upon reading this comic I was struck by a memory from Dogma. Namely, the Gorgothan demon
Good use of shadows in panel one.
The view from above looking at the tiles they’re walking across , makes me think of a couple of pieces on a chess board .
Interesting observation given yesterday’s possible name change to a couple of pawns.
Considering what just happened to you at the end of the Calendar Machine story, maybe you should be armed where ever you go, just to be safe.
…and practice poop poiting.
Sounds like a plan.
I still think that someday her poited waste will come back to haunt her…hopefully not literally, though! 🙂
Well put, Monica! I couldn’t have said it better myself.

I love the birds-eye view in panel one. =^_^= Terrific art!

With this sort of reasoning you can see why jin became cuckoo really.
On a Boobquake note; an article in the local news:

….ESPECIALLY after that turkey Tepoz made her.

I know Shelly is just holding the cup in her right hand but seeing the shadow in panel one all i can think is:
A gift real special, so take off the top
Take a look inside — it’s my tits in a box
Nice view of birdseye perspective in panel one today. That was unexpected.
OH yeah! LOVE the shadow-play! Give them a real feeling of movement.
I was expecting Fnord to say that the sexy shadows were fanservice. Maybe we shouldn’t encourage him. 😉
Cool as that first panel is: This is nowhere near how their shadows would be looking.
Ok, ok, its artistic license. The realistic shadows would look nowhere as cool.
Hey, give him credit for stretching his artistic abilities. He could just have stuck to drawing the characters without backgrounds…
Nice work today, I sort of expected the ground to be shaking though, lol.
All I can think of is Zombie Land….

Yes the shadows are wrong. But they are also great.
Love that first panel. <3
I’d rather leave a shit to be honest, but that’s me…
it’s already proven you can poit the poo right out so you could just walk by the bathroom and poit some in there without stopping
well, i guess reading this comic so late would mean most of what i want to say has already been said. still…”darn, you beat me to it”
