I can so empathize with Shelly right now. My Dad died when I was 12 and for a lot of years I walked around dead inside. Most people never noticed it because I put up a really good front but the reality was that I build walls around myself to keep people fromgetting close enough to my heart that their leaving would hurt. But you really can’t live that way and eventually I let someone inside the walls.
