Castela certainly seemed to be very annoyed by her body’s reactions to Hiroshi’s presence. Remember, he’s half-Fae, and Castela has had a long-time antipathy against the Fae. I wouldn’t call her reaction quite a love/hate sort of thing… “involuntary lust / pre-judged distaste” comes closer.
Flowers, plants and a large percentage of the animal kingdom do not involve romance in their reproduction methods. Her flowering could have more to do with his having previously been a butterfly, which are part of the system by which flowering plants reproduce. No romance need be involved.

There is an page before the last time the girls were at the Posidan Pool that states the time jump. They are now in highs school.
