its currently Kath, to see why, go back a few years to 2013… http://wapsisquare.com/comic/mapimi-desert/
quite a long story, but it will tell you about Castela, MIB etc, etc…
I need to ask about makeup and hair. Given that Castela’s skin is a glamour and the hair is an extension of her body, why can’t she just will her hair into shape? Also where does the makeup go?
I /think/ in Castella’s case, her ‘glamour’ is actually physical shapeshifting. e.g. she’s refined her ability to ‘knit’ her humanoid form together such that you can’t see the stitching, unlike when we first met her over a decade of her life ago. In which case her hair remains tousled because she didn’t think to fix it because she’s grown accustomed to holding continuity of form so she looks ‘normal’ when in non-para spaces….
Then again, when was the last time we had a scene set in a non-para space?
Mucho Mocha, while para-owned and para-friendly, also serves the non-para community, so is somewhere that paras need to look human. It wasn’t that long ago we had a few scenes set there.
Remember the couple that the siren girl (her name escapes me at the moment, and I don’t have time for an archive dive) accidentally pheromoned, making Kath have to step in as MIB and cover it up?
There is the issue of blending in to the mundane population.
Yes it is true that Cas could simply will herself into a close facsimile of normal, but it’s the little imperfections like that smeared makeup that signal “normal”.
Heh, Busted….
In Castela’s case, literally?
Goodnight everybody! – Yakko Warner
I don’t think she broke anything, so no. O_o
who is the best character in Wapsi and why is it Kath? ~<3

Deflection achieved!
nothing like loving care of Daughter to cheer up! 😀
Not entirely sure it was a deflection. Kath identified the problem, its trigger, a plan of action right out of the gate, and provided reassurance.
OOPS!!!
and in the last frame mom powers activate!
It’s good that she’s getting professional help in dealing with her PTSD. Talking about it, matter of factly, is also good.

*snerk* Do not activate the Momma…
Speaking of someone smelling different…
Brings a new meaning to “not the Momma!”
‘Nom nom nom’…
Oh, dear.
Whoops, that wasn’t supposed to go here.
Great. Now I have anther reply in the wrong place.
Aaaaand busted. This is why one shouldn’t wear makeup. Makes it obvious when you’ve been….active. XD
