Knowing the vocabulary is not the issue. It is the ability to think of homself in the position he has found himself in that is throwing him. He still doesn’t think that he deserves her. His mother really messed him up by saying lots of stuff including that it was good that he was pretty. The best reversal of an old sexist turn of phrase that literary parents have been know to aim at young ladies in the family
It’s often said women are better communicators then men. I respectfully disagree.
If we define “better” as “more clear” (rather than “more spoken words” or “more nuanced layers of meaning”) then your stereotypical human female communicates quite badly indeed!
We have different frames of reference from you, and thus cannot decode your subtle signals and intents, ladies.
Say what you want.
Odds are very good that, unless it’s the moon or something, we’d happily give it to you.
That could have unfortunate consequences, if he decided to adopt the behaviors he saw there in his day to day life.
Neither the Fish-Slap Dance, nor the Argument Clinic, is a great way to interact with friends and relatives… especially if you’re hanging around with people who can turn you into a butterfly.
Looks like Mindy is ‘Putting the moves’ on Hiroshi with that Hip Action in that last panel. She sounds less nervous than she did before that kiss, for example is she Quoting Shakespeare to him and if so, that is way over Hiroshi’s head ……But sounds really, really HOT! and I just noticed that Mindy’s doing this all with her eye’s closed. Like if she looked at Hiroshi, she would be all “Jerry Lewis” on him, like “NUTTY PROFESSOR” from the female side.
She would MELT what Passes for His Brain. What Survived, and Re-solidified, at the base of his Skull might be less Scattered, and certainly a deal more Focused.
I’ve got a Question:
Is Mindy Farsighted? Is it possible that She’s NEVER seen he Own Face, in a Mirror, without her AR-CCGs? **

Shouldn’t they sign some documents if they’re gonna be that formal?
It’s all there in the Akashic record. And a copy already in the Library.
She used Shakespeareian language that went over his head, so she had to dumb it down and make it absolutely clear what she meant.
If Shakespeare befuddles him he’s going to need a brain transplant to grok the Canterbury Tales.
Good one, Mindy. Know your audience!
Wow, he really is an airhead.
Or he doesn’t have the vocabulary she does . . .

I wish more girls realized that they really do need to be that direct with boys.
Amen to that!

Now to get him thoroughly engrossed in Monty Python, and he’ll be hers for life . . .

Mindy knows she’s gotta spell it out. If only other girls could figure this out the worldwide quantity of drama would decrease markedly.

Good job Mindy. Males needing to be 10000% sure of consent to interact in that way deserve it in plain words.

HA! I just knew Paul would give us a happy ending to this comic arc (l guess now it’s Barbara’s turn…)
Hiroshi in panel 2: you can practically hear the gears grinding as he tries to parse her reply. Poor guy. At least Mindy clarified. 🙂
more like the sound of a model T from an old cartoon trying to get up a hill. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0rG3qoWuCo
dang it posted the wrong video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17N2g2Ryqi8
It’s a Maxwell, not a Model T.
I don’t get why people say in the comment section that girls have to be more direct with boys.
I always get a direct “NO” whenever I try to go out with one… 😀 😐 :'(
The Tempest, Act 3, Scene 1. Miranda.
Thank you.
uh…could you repeat that in “himbo”?
*sigh*
Ya finally got it right, you two…
Does this mean she’s gonna take off her glasses? At least around Hiroshi?
Don’t know how Hiroshi would react seeing Mindy without freckles.
